The OT includes four major sections: Situational Judgment Test (SJT), Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning. However, the SJT section has been completely redesigned this year!
1. Behavioural Module
In this behavioral module, the SJT has no time limit and draws from a massive question bank. Specific details like names, company names, and profile pictures are randomly generated, and Deloitte has introduced AI to paraphrase both the questions and answer choices. Even if you have reference answers, you’ll need to rethink the underlying logic of each question to respond correctly.
2. Numerical Reasoning Test
You are required to answer 14 questions. To answer these, you will need to use numerical information presented in the form of tables and graphs. All graphs are interactive, meaning if you hover over any element of the graph, you will see specific details ensuring it is easy to read.
The assessment is time recorded, not time limited. This means you can spend as long as you like on each question, but both your accuracy and the amount of time you take to respond will contribute towards your overall score. We would encourage you to complete the assessment as quickly as you are able.
You should allow at least 15 minutes to complete this part of your assessment. You can use a calculator, and we'd recommend you have this, and a pen and paper to hand, before you begin.have this to hand, with a pen and paper before starting.
3. Verbal Reasoning Test
The Verbal Reasoning Test assesses your ability to evaluate and understand written information and draw conclusions accurately from the information provided. Verbal reasoning is important in the workplace as it enables effective comprehension of written information and supports critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, which is why our process includes this assessment.
You are required to answer 4 questions. Each will require you to read a passage of information and choose the relevant response options. The assessment is time recorded, not time limited. This means you can spend as long as you like on each question but your accuracy and the amount of time you take to respond will contribute towards your overall score. We would encourage you to complete the assessment as quickly as you are able. You should allow at least 10 minutes to complete this part of the assessment.
4. Diagrammatic Reasoning Test
You are required to answer 8 questions. You will be asked to work out which option comes next in a sequence of images based on the rules that you identify within that sequence. You can complete one practice question before completing the 8 assessed questions.
The assessment is time recorded, not time limited. This means you can spend as long as you like on each question, but your accuracy and the amount of time you take to respond will contribute towards your overall score. We would encourage you to complete the assessment as quickly as you are able.
You should allow at least 15 minutes to complete this part of the assessment. You also might find it useful have a pen and paper to make notes.
